Dear Yuletide Writer!

gabolangeSo despite the fact that I have been in fandom approximately twelve million years, I have never actually done Yuletide before. But this year there are a bunch of fandoms I know and love, so here we are! First, and most importantly: thank you! I am sure I will love anything you write me, because OMG you are writing me a story! I am very grateful for your time.
Second, I guess a couple DNWs: I am not really into major character death (unless it's canon?), or werewolves or A/B/O, or trauma porn. Also DNW non-con, rape, gratuitous violence against women, or embarrassment stuff.
Third, a couple loves: I am a canon whore and a character whore. I love a good AU, but my heart is happiest unpacking the characters we love in the settings we know. I don't mind if that's silly or heartfelt or hurt/comfort or deep inside someone's head or outside POV or whatever, but my happiest place is character work in a canon-friendly way.
Fourth, the fandoms!
Wheel of Time: MOIRRRAAAAAINNNE. I am a show-only viewer, and that show is the Moiraine show. Anything you want to do about understanding her psyche or her journey or her most important relationships would be lovely. Duty and drive and single-mindedness and the impact it has on her... Quiet moments to reflect on that... Bad days or good... I am not a Moiraine / Lan shipper (but I adore their unique platonic partnership), and I am a Moiraine / Siuan shipper, and I have no doubt Moiraine has an interesting past with Liandrin, if that helps. But really, anything true to Moiraine will make me happy.
Star Trek: Picard: I am a lifelong Seven of Nine fan, and a recent convert to the church of Agnes Jurati. Both of them have such an interesting relationship with the Borg, especially after S2. I would love to see one of them, or both of them, deal with the imapct of S2 in some capacity--Agnes' missing 400 years, or what Agnes' choice means for Seven and her life, or the two of them connecting from opposite ends of the Borg choice world after they meet again. But if the Borg aren't your thing, both of these women have such unique, difficult journeys, anything that unpacks where they've been or where they're going would be great. Also here for Seven / Raffi, if that's your thing.
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds: This show absolutely stole my heart this year. I love every single one of them. I love that they like each other and work well together and have unexpected friendships. I think I would love anything that looks at those friendships -- any of them, honestly! -- with affection and honesty. I started to write out which combinations I would like best, and it came out as character name word spaghetti...which is to say, I love this crew. Maybe there are hijinks, maybe they are stuck in a turbolift talking about life, maybe there are five times friendship saved their life...maybe you will come up with something even better.
