From now on, this journal will be friends-only. If you want to be added, comment, and let me know. I'll peruse your journal, and go from there. I wish it wasn't so, but sometimes life gets in the way of internet blogging.

The Xanga is officially closed. It had a good run, and I will miss it.

You may all rest assured that there shall be continued nerdiness, and I shall continue to rack up nerd points. Do expect more comments on real life, and probably some custom security posts.

And go see the BSG trailer. Really.

Oh. Journal's now paid. Because if I have to be LJing, it'll be with as many icons as humanly possible. Woo!

Hello :) I haven't really seen anyone besides, Allison, honestly. People are so busy and far away.

I usually find myself in Illinois 4-5 times a year, which is probably more often than you come here!

I've just finished 'Landing' and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I hope you have more treasures hidden in your journal. Therefore, I make this formal request: May I please be added?

Thanks for your time!

Oh, I'm so glad you liked "Landing." It's great that people out there are still reading that story and enjoying it.

For now, I think I shall peruse your journal and then add you in a little while, if that works for you.

Hi, I don't know you, but I have the flu, can't sleep, and was poking around journals of people what are in Chicago. (I have the flu and it's 6:30am, please don't ask because I really, really don't know.) Anyhow, you like Mom/Dad (Adama/Roslin if you have a massive allergy to me calling it that... I have friends who do, so there's that) and are in my town, so.

Sadly, I'm kind of like this when NOT sleep deprived and bursting with Theraflu.

And . . . I friend you back! Definite YAY to Chicago people who 'ship Mom/Dad. (No objections there!)

Probably should have asked a while back (when the whole R/Z flap broke open)... but uh... *cough*

Dang, I'm not good at this.

Would you like to friend me?

I've just read "Two at the end of the world" and I'd like you to add me to your friends list. Especially if you have some more fantastic Dad/Son stories, but I can do with Mom/Dad as well ;).

Okay, Pellucid claims you are awesome (which is definitely a good recommendation) and apparently I'll be meeting you in two (?) weekends plus you have my favorite McCoy quote in your journal, which means you are made of win.

Hello! I have friended you back! Because, yes, we are meeting soon, which shall be fun I am sure!

My journal's a big old jumble of fannish content, personal rambling, and just about anything in between. So, you know, welcome! Hi!

(And if you're really, really bored, I have written exactly one SG-1 story, and you can find it here: Supervenient (

Sounds like a good journal to me :)

(that fic is very much high up on my to read list ever since pellucid pimped it like mad. it just came when I was in my final stages of grad school app hell)

Oh, graduate school applications. I feel your pain. Those things . . . aaaagh. Never again!

And cool! It occurred to me just *after* I hit post on that comment that it was a particularly weird way to say hello. Hi! Awesome! Read my story? Um . . . right. No worries, this is my brain going on some kind of tired safari without its usual sense. :)

So, you know. Welcome again!

hee :) I said never again 4 years ago, when I did these the first time. Apparently it didn't stick...this time it had better.

Naw, I know lots of fandom isn't into self-pimping, but I love self-pimping lots. I've found so many good stories that way.

whee! welcome you too

Hi! I meant to do this earlier, but RL pulled me away. I hope you don't mind me adding you as your friend. I really liked your insight into SG-1 dynamics.

And thank you--I snagged the header from [ profile] ladyireth and the rest sort of fell into place! :)

We seem to maybe see eye to eye on at least some BSG things. Also on John Hiatt lyrics being pretty awesome?! I also have journal title envy. So, ahem, may I friend you? I didn't know it was possible to be awkward online until I got to LJ.

I see we share an interest in BSG, baseball and The West Wing (RIP) and so I was wondering if maybe you'd mind if I friend you?

And that totally sounds like a dating website pick-up line. *headesk*

erm... hi!

i keep seeing you around the journals of cool ppl i know ([ profile] chaila43 and [ profile] pellucid, and thought i'd ask if it was okay to friend you. i also read some of your bsg stories and loved them (truths half told comes to mind, for example), and, well... that's kind of it. ;)

the public posts on my lj are my theatrical muse entries for ellen tigh. everything meta-ish or personal goes behind a double lock or wahtever. just thought i'd mention that, it seems to confuse ppl. :)

thanx for your time, and sorry if i have bothered you. :)

I saw a note at Majorsamfan's lj about a post you'd made (I think) about the Chicago con. I'd enjoy reading your journal if you are into Stargate, as I think you are?

I'm harmless, I promise, if you are willing to let me look at what you have to say.

It's weird that we're not friends yet, don't you think? We have so many fandoms in common. At first glance: SG-1, BSG, Farscape, West Wing, Leverage, Bones, and Sanctuary. And you're a fabulous writer, from what I can tell so far. (Can't ever have too many of those on your flist, can you? Hehe.)

Any chance you're interested?

So, I've seen you hanging around some of the journals I frequent... namely holdouttrout's and we seem to have a few fandoms in common (SG, Castle, BSG, Sanctuary)... and there can never be enough fan fiction or squee, right?

That's my subtle way of asking if we could be friends. ;)
